SoloTax - Privacy Policy

1. Introduction
SoloTax ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application handles information. In short: We do not collect, store, or share your personal financial data.
2. Data Collection and Usage
Unlike traditional accounting apps, SoloTax operates on a "Zero-Server" architecture.
- Financial Data: All information regarding your income, expenses, taxes, and receipts is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this data.
- OCR & Images: When you scan a receipt using our OCR feature, the processing happens on your device. Images are not uploaded to any external server.
- No Accounts: You are not required to create an account or provide an email address to use SoloTax.
3. Third-Party Services
We may use limited third-party services for the following purposes:
- App Analytics: We may use tools like Apple App Analytics or Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous technical data (e.g., device model, crash logs) to improve app performance. This data does not identify you.
- Cloud Backup (User Controlled): If you choose to back up your data via iCloud or Google Drive, that data is governed by the respective provider's privacy policy. SoloTax does not manage these backups.
4. Data Security
Since your data is stored on your device, its security depends on your device's security settings (Passcode, FaceID, TouchID). We recommend keeping your device updated and secured.
5. Children's Privacy
SoloTax is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the app.
